Take One with Skeletor's custom Table and Throne

For the longest time I wanted to create a custom throne of bones and table for Skeletor, much line the one he used in the Filmation cartoon.
At first I wanted to make the throne out of small plastic bones, but they wouldn't stand up on their own or carry the weight of the evil lord. So I just painted the throne that came along with Mephisto. I bought the figure only for the throne, so if you are looking for a cheap, unused Mephisto figure give me a shout. The table is made out of clay, and the bones on it are from some plastic toy skeletons I found. I think it looks pretty cool, what do you think?
Skeletor now has a place to rest his evil ass, and a place to keep his mug of joe.

I found the head on the Skeletor action figures rather cartoonish, I think he could be made to look far more menacing. Here is my attempt:

Classics Skeletor with Cape

Okay, I had to try putting Keldor's cape on Skeletor and it looks fab. The cape suits Skeletor better and does not hinder the articulation on his head.

Classics Skeletor : Evil Lord of Destruction

Skeletor was first introduced into the Classics line back in January 2009, and took almost a day to sell out. This was mainly because the line was rather unknown at the time. Once the news about the classics line grew, the demand for this figure grew as well.
In the end Mattel had to re-release the figure at the end of the year - and it sold out in around 40 minutes. This was mainly because everybody wanted the figure - including the ones who had the first release as it had a different left hand. The left hand in the re-lease was sculpted so that it could hold the havoc staff, or power sword. The left hand on the first release was open, like it was in the vintage line.

Bio:
Real Name: Keldor
Mortally wounded in battle with his half-brother Captain Randor, Keldor turned to his dark-arts master Hordak to save his life. Hordak merged Keldor with an extra-dimensional being Demo-Man from Despondos, Keldor was forever changed into Skeletor, Overlord of Evil! He gathered together many of Eternia’s greatest outcasts and evil warriors in his quest to gain entry into Castle Grayskull and obtain what he believes is the universe’s ultimate power source.

Skeletor comes with a havoc staff, a power sword and a half sword.

Anti-Eternia He-Man

I read about this German tape called Masters of the Universe "Anti-Eternia" where Skeletor builds this portal to this parallel universe where the heroic warriors of Eternia are evil, and the evil warriors are the new defenders of Grayskull.

Here is the evil He-man.

Memories of He-Ro

I have absolutely no childhood connection with He-Ro.  Apparently this figure was designed but never made it to the store shelves. He is supposed to be an ancestor of He-man, but it doesn't fit in since his get up is far too modern.

He-Ro was the SDCC exclusive back in 2008, and I never made any attempt to get hold of him. I wasn't too keen on what I felt was a cheap knock off on Superman. I did, however get a regular version but was happy with the green stone I got. I know collectors that went through all the trouble to ensure that they had figures with all three stones.

The fact that one of the figures I received from Mattel was squint did not help his cause. I decided on opening him and keep the better looking one mint. He-Ro continues to be my least favorite character, and figure in the line after Mo-Larr.

Classics He-Ro : Heroic Cosmic Warrior

He-Ro was the San Diego Comic Con exclusive back in 2008. He was subsequently available online, albeit without a SDCC logo on his chest.

Bio:
Real Name: Ro
Given the sword of He by the Overlords of the Timeless Dimension of Trolla, Ro was told to “go forth and combat evil”. During one such epic battle, he was infected with a techno-organic virus by Horde Supreme and sent through a vortex to the magic planet of Eternia. Once there, he was healed by Eldor in a mystical pool which absorbed his virus. In gratitude, He-Ro swore to help free Eternia from the Snake Men and Horde invaders. He defended the free people alongside the great King Grayskull, eventually bequeathing his sword to the King upon his heroic death.

He-Ro comes with the Sword of He, and a staff with 3 possible gems.

Classics Tri-Klops : Evil Spy for Skeletor

Tri Klops was released in August 2008 and was on sale for more than two days.

Bio:
Real Name: Trydor Esooniux Scope
Originally an inter-dimensional bounty hunter and tracker, Scope was recruited by Skeletor during one of the final battles of the Great Unrest to bolster his weakened forces. As good with a blade as he is crafty, Scope took on the name Tri-Klops after an accident left him blind and he was forced to wear a tri-optic visor which granted him expanded tracking abilities including Gammavision, the ability to see around objects, Distavision, a form of Far Vision, Night Vision, and the ability to generate optic blasts, Tri-Klops uses his three different eyes to spy for Skeletor!

Tri-Klops comes with loads of goodies: a secret glow-in-the-dark warrior's ring with opening top, an assassin sword, and a doomseeker with stand.

The Start of the Eternian Council

Take One with Classics Chief Carnivus

Classics Chief Carnivus : Heroic Feline Warrior

Chief Carnivus was released in September 2010 and received a luke-warm response. He was available for more than a day.

Bio:
Real Name: Carnivus Fervelius III
Leader of a race of Eternian cat warriors called Qadians, Carnivus keeps his people safe high in the village of Felis Qadi. For many years the Qadians kept a neutral stance, preferring not to get involved in the affairs of other tribes. But with the rise of Skeletor and the subsequent release of the Snake Men and the Horde from their interdimensional prisons, Carnivus agreed to re-evaluate his core principles and joined the struggle for freedom allying himself and his people with King Randor’s new Eternian Council. Carnivus uses his feline agility and great courage to fight against evil.

The Chief comes with the Sword of Saz and a shield.

Classics Battle Armor He-Man : Most Powerful Man in the Universe

Battle Armor He-Man was released in Jan 2010, and took a surprising three days to sell out. Perhaps it was to do with the fact that he did not come with accessories, or maybe because he lacked the action feature as with the vintage figure.

Bio:
Real Name: Adam of the House of Randor
To adapt to new enemies and situations, Adam has learned to tap further into the great power which his sword unlocks. The combined Power of the Universe and the Knowledge of the Elders is used by Adam to imagine and create new forms of armor and weapons to combat evil. His Battle Armor was created to protect He-Man during his early battles with Skeletor and his evil warriors. Using the Power of Grayskull, He-Man - The Most Powerful Man In The Universe, is now shielded by his mighty Battle Armor.

BA He-Man comes with an axe and three chest plates.
